Removing Urine Odour & Stain from Hardwood Floors
Find out how UrineFREE can help with removing urine odour & stain from Hardwood Floors – UrineFREE for cat urine hardwood floors, and Dog Urine Hardwood floors.
- Spray affected areas with urineFREE.
- Cover wet floor with plastic film or sheeting to slow evaporation. Hardwood flooring needs a longer time for effective results to take place.
- Remove plastic after 30 minutes or more. Blot dry with paper towels.
- Repeat Step 1 without covering with plastic.
- Blot dry again after 30 minutes.
- Repeat half-hour treatments until odour is removed.
NOTE: Stains are notoriously difficult to remove from hardwood. Black staining from long-term exposure is common. Using urineFREE will cause the stain to go grey. Repeated applications will cause the stain to become a lighter grey. Once treatment is completed and all urine is removed, if the colours is unacceptable, sand back the floor to its original colour and reseal. urineFREE will not penetrate sealed floors. Sealed floors over old urine stains will need to be sanded back, treated and re-sealed.
